NETWORKING WITH SMALL BUSINESS AND REGIONAL LEADERS

Being a business owner can sometimes be an isolating endeavor, but tenants in the Business Growth Center/Scibelli Enterprise Center have built-in colleagues who network and collaborate with one another and share best practices.

Our tenants are service providers, business owners and nonprofit leaders are committed to growing their own organizations and supporting the region. They are:

The Achievement Network (ANet). A nonprofit supporting a national network of schools with quality student achievement data, tools and leadership coaching.

Caswell Communications provides specialized training, products and services for eldercare professionals, agencies, and facilities who serve older people with a hearing loss.

Community Works. A program of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, that provides pre-apprenticeship training in building trades for under-represented workers from Springfield and Holyoke.

FCB Insurance/Mike Daggett. An insurance broker and risk manager specializing in construction, bonding, manufacturing and social services.

Gardening the Community. A food justice organization engaged in youth development, urban agriculture and sustainable living to build healthy and equitable communities.

Kwanzaa Electric Company. Electrical contractors for residential and commercial customers.

Leadership Pioneer Valley. Leadership Pioneer Valley provides the collaborative leadership skills, a 360-degree view of the Valley and connections needed to strengthen its organizations and leaders for the betterment of the Pioneer Valley through their signature regional leadership development program.

Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards. The agency that promotes and protects workers’ safety and health, wages and working conditions, and supports employers and workers.

Massachusetts Environmental Police Registration and Titling Bureau. The agency that registers motorboats, snowmobiles and recreation vehicles in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC). A state program that provides free and confidential small business consulting, part of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Isenberg School of Management.

Morganti Group. A business offering construction management, design build, general contracting and pre-construction services for both new construction and major renovation projects.

National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). An association that provides a system of entrepreneurship and incubation education utilizing community colleges in America.

New England Business Associates Business Development Center (NEBA). A nonprofit that provides services to anyone with a disability that is interested in being self-supporting through entrepreneurship.

Opportunity Services.  A non-profit organization that provides supportive employment programs, helping people integrate into their communities and workplaces, making the most of their skills and interest.

Patient Centered Medical Care. A business offering licensed nursing and rehabilitation home care.

PSI 91, Inc. A business that develops, sources, and distributes footballs, basketballs, volleyballs and soccer balls under the Under Armour brand name.

QuSEC Labs. A technology startup specializing in security within business mobile applications that focus on the consumer market.

ReGreen Springfield. An organization that promotes the reforestation of Springfield, improves growing conditions for trees, and engages new allies in tree care and monitoring.

Sanitas Solutions. An IT provider for a number of Western Mass. medical institutions who are aware of the benefits that a fully-comprehensive EMR solution can bring.

SCORE. An organization providing confidential free counseling to small businesses – new or established, nonprofit or for-profit – and high impact-low cost business planning workshops.

Small Business Administration (SBA). A federal program that helps to start, build and grow businesses, through counseling, capital and contracting services/programs.

Springfield Prep Charter School. A new K-8 public charter school in Springfield, Mass., (starting with kindergarten and grade one in 2015) working to close the achievement gap and provide all students with a world-class, college preparatory education.

Stand for Children. A grassroots membership organization working to empower parents, elect courageous leaders and improve public education.

Sweeney Strategic Consulting. A community-focused provider of strategic and finance-related advisory services to for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

Veterans, Inc. New England’s leading provider of support services to veterans and their families, including temporary and emergency housing, counseling, employment services, job training, family programs, benefits counseling and advocacy, transportation, temporary financial assistance, health and wellness, food services and veterans’ childcare services.

Willow Tree Outdoor. A business that designs, builds and maintains beautiful natural environments.
